Last night it was pouring rain and no hope in sight for all the campers out there for the long weekend. This morning looks a little better for them, lots of clouds to the east – but the west over the ocean looks pretty darn good right now.
Going to be a working weekend I think. Buddy Scott is out of town with his new car AFAIK, and Joan from BBC is on an Alaskan cruise. Thinking about going ahead with their front page and working on the images with their blurbs, don’t think she has much more to give me beyond what there was before they left last week.

Almost have Moveable Type up and running completely. A little bit of a pain getting the archive template to show up properly, but have a topic posted on their forum and hopefuly someone will recognize the problem. Went through every post on the Template section, but nothing quite like this, hmmm.
It’s a rainy day outside anyways; looks like our summer weather is going away just in time for the July 1st long weekend. Gas prices are up everywhere of course by yesterday, it’s such a joke that there isn’t any price fixing but they sure went up the same amount at the same time as usual.

Going to be a scorcher out there today. Although that term is relative after living in Arizona for almost a decade. Around here, hot means 30 Celsius (86 for my US friends) and 40(104) in the Okanagan which is getting closer to a real warm temperature.
Nothing new from BBC yet, I suspect she is writing up the blurbs that go with the images from their home page. Would like to know when I start at the store, how much I’m going to be paid etc. Still have to work out the deal with someone on how much rent I’m out of pocket, but also but will wait to see what kind of monthly income I will be getting.
Our Canada Day celebrations are coming up this weekend. Not too much of a big deal for me anyways and it will be just kind of another day as far as I know at this point in time. There will be fireworks in False Creek and all that good stuff, maybe a day at the beach for me.

Bud Scott got his first car today. Pretty nice one really for only $1294 + tax. It’s a Buick LeSabre vintage 1987 with a nice running engine and not too much body cancer at all. It looks something like this car only a two tone blue. Inside is real nice, power windows and all that good stuff. AC doesn’t work but I think it just needs a recharge.
Should be hearing from Joan over at BBC today about their web site and I want to mention that I could start to work part time at the store anytime just to remind them. Want to start working sooner rather than later eh
