Going Nuclear

Sunday, July 18th, 2004

The Middle East just is not cooling off what so ever with the headline: Israel ‘ready’ to strike Iran If Russia supplies Islamic state with rods for enriching uranium.

First off, uranium is not enriched with fuel rods but with gas centrifuges. Second, Israel has “lowered the bar”, in that they are no longer talking about weapons development, but the mere activation of a civilian power reactor as the trigger for an act of war against Iran.

Russia is not going to back down from Israel. And Sharon knows that. Sharon is forcing Russia into a corner to justify his next act of war. Sharon will bomb Iran and scream that Russia made him do it.

Israel’s nukes cannot reach Russia, but Russia can vaporize Israel at will. Therefore, Israel must be counting on the United States nuclear deterrent to deter Russia.

In other words, Israel has brought the world to the brink of global thermonuclear war.

Interesting Day

Found this little gem talking about the interesting day the US President had on 9-11.

mgwebservices.ca

Friday, July 16th, 2004

The domain name mgwebservices.ca has been registered in the name of Mark Groen O/A MG Web Services and has been activated as of 2004/07/16, 13:25:09! Time to start building another web site for myself over the weekend, the marina is almost ready to get their site put together so things are on track so far for auto insurance and rent coming up anyways. The Arts Council renewed my contract for another year amongst some heavy competition and lobbying from some council members for a developer other than myself.

Win some lose some though, Phoenix on Bowen ended up going with Cosmic Idea to create their site but still hosted with me though so there’s always some cream in the pot. Speaking of hosting, a change there too with a new plan to have my own private name servers so clients hosting with me register ns1.mgwebservices.ca and ns2.mgwebservices.ca with their registrar for a more professional feel. Methinks I better get busy!

Looks like Japan will be the first to track the least able to defend themselves from big brother by installing rdid’s in or on children in at least one primary school.

Kneecapped

Saturday, July 10th, 2004

Hats off to my Dad for being able to stay in the construction business as long as he did. Nearing 50 myself and unable to keep up, (time flies!) and my knees finally gave out on the house on the side of the mountain. It was “goat path construction” from the start, and all the ups and downs have turned the old kneecaps into jelly and had to quit when no longer able to go down the stairs from home.

It’s the worst going down hill or stairs, my knees wobble left and right no matter how hard I try to hold them steady and they look like Jell-O wiggling, kinda funny actually if only it didn’t feel so weird. Guess it’s just as well, the pay was poor for the type of work I was doing and helping create a monster size house that was such a waste of earth’s resources is hard on the conscience too.

At least the web work keeps coming in and hopefully there will be enough of that to keep going just with that this time around. Got the rent in the bank for next month, but working for your self it’s always time to go and get the next project and client. Still keeping my ears open for something else to go along with for part time, will just have to pass on heavier types of construction jobs ;-)
