Before sunny another storm comes in and the first power outage of the season along with it. Dug out the UPS this morning with the wind picking up and clouds thickening, everything is plugged in safely with room to spare. One part of the island did lose power from mid-morning until shortly after the afternoon ferry brought over the BC Hydro repair crew; only temporary blips seconds or less here in the Cove and just a reminder of what winter could be.

Friday, October 5th, 2007Getting a little bit of internet time in over the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend, thank goodness for me because the gospel web site was having the jitters and it didn’t show on the public side; went a week without them being able to use the admin area like normal and glad they are a nice client.
Although it’s only the first week of October, felt like winter was here already in the morning and afternoon too when not directly in the warmth of the sun. Happy to be doing a little house sitting over the long weekend, the GLC Motel is familiar enough but the internet access in it sucks 
Will keep hoping for a nice 17″ wide screen with Windows XP Pro and powerful enough for entertainment too in the near future; wireless access even on this little island is ubiquitous and it fits in so well with my nomad lifestyle.
