Don’t watch television too much since giving mine to Mr. D a year ago, and that’s a good thing ’cause it just got me mad when ever anything that purported itself to be “news” came up on the screen. On this island, the houses I sit always have the latest in gizmos and electronics and this weekend is no exception, so am listening to the Zombies on stage at Stoke and Trent and the volume control has plenty of left over head room.
On the west side of the island, it’s a little quieter and feels slower than in the cove without the hourly intrusion of the ferry diesels churning across the strait to disgorge another load of cars. Sunset lasts longer, but miss seeing the sunrise coming over the mountains in the morning. Ah well, all is good, Jackie DeShannon is singing what the world needs now is love1, sweet love, no not just for some but for everyone, and “put a little love in your heart”.
