A Morning Hoot

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

Here we go, the election season is square upon us and the headline this morning is “I’m protecting middle class, Harper says” – yeah right. More like decimating the middle class…easy to tell what a politico is really saying, just determine what the opposite is of what comes out of their mouth and Bob is your uncle.

Closer to home, lots of deer wandering around where I’ve been parking the van the last few nights. They don’t mind having me around, was able to walk by within five feet of a larger buck yesterday morning. Walking over to the Snug today for morning coffee, an owl has been hooting across the street since at least five, it’s 6:10am now and he’s still going strong.

Slow Month

Monday, September 8th, 2008

A month since the last post, and we are into the Fall Season with a typical sunny and warm afternoon “Indian Summer” on the west coast. August was a nice little month, a bit of rain during the week when it was needed and enough that the creeks and ponds on my hike up Mt. Gardner yesterday had water still in them. That was the weather, now for the news/propaganda with an election coming up on October 14th, my 51st birthday.
