Fighter Jets on Xmas Night

Just heard a fighter jet go over head this Xmas night and another further to the south, heading towards the big island.

Father Christmas 2012

The earth is still here and there are more people than ever. Xmas 2012 is house sitting quietly on Bowen Island, glad for the u tube to remind me of performances like Ian Anderson and Greg Lake doing ‘I believe in Father Christmas’ at the ironic location of a church on Fleet Street.

They said there’ll be snow at christmas

But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the virgin’s birth

A winters light and a distant choir

So the Facebook IPO didn’t go so well…mabe beause investors reognize it is a media company and nothing like the Zuckerberg quote “our mission is to make the world more open and connected” – hello? Facebook is a closed system, the internet disappears one you are on it and you can’t get on unless you sign up.

Golfing Days Are Here Again

Spring has definitely sprung on around the Lower Mainland of B.C. and the surest sign is the bullfrogs coming out of hiding and croaking all night. Another sure sign is more people on the golf course, a good thing as they need as much business as they can get to keep the membership rates as low as they are.
