business applications

There are times when you need an application used in your business to be on-line, rather than passing revisions around. Many of the things that were once done with a brown envelope, red string, undecipherable initials and a runner to get the package of information everywhere, can be consolidated to a secure area of your web server with a single access point.

Spreadsheets and their macros can be converted to on-line databases with their functions recreated to work within web page controls for intra or internet usage. Web access allows administration and user access from anywhere; enabling your customers to initiate an order on-line saves you steps and alerts you to impending income.

The example below (click on the thumbnails) shows the main page of an interface that keeps track of a few hundreds of video clips. The administrator can add new clips, edit and delete them as well as search on any term or topic, and the header areas of each table column will sort the tables according to that column in ascending or descending order. The second thumbnail shows the form for editing a single row in the database.

The first consultation is always free, let me know your ideas and we'll run it up the flag pole. For the more technically minded - all forms are valid xhtml and use the best CRUD class that is currently available, iow - fast and reliable.
